Hi — I’m Jenine. I’m a 53-year-old entrepreneur, a cancer survivor from Cincinnati, Ohio, and the founder of Sass and Heels.
I’ve always had a passion for gardening and cooking. What started as a healing journey, growing vegetables in my garden and making jelly and jams for friends has turned into a passion project. I believe that authentic homemade jelly and jam should stand out and not blend in with the rest. Every jar is a mix of resilience, bold taste, and a splash of sass — just like me.
Sass and Heels was born in 2024 out of a love for bold flavors, boozy twists, and unapologetic authenticity. After facing down cancer not once, not twice, but three times, I came out the other side more determined than ever to live fully — and flavorfully.
With heels on my feet, sass in my soul, and a backyard full of homegrown fruits and veggies, I started stirring up something that felt real: small-batch jams, jellies, and butters infused with personality and made the old-fashioned way.
What started with a few good old-fashioned flavors turned into a wild, flavor-packed joyride — because I don’t do basic, and neither should your jelly and jam. And yes, there’s booze in some of them, because why not?
